Stimulating innovation

Neuromod Technology

Neuromod has developed Lenire®, an at-home tinnitus treatment technology that is prescribed and customised on a per patient basis by qualified healthcare providers. Lenire is CE-marked in Europe and approved by the US Food and Drug Administration through the award of a De Novo Grant.

1The Controller

A lightweight, handheld device that controls the timing, intensity and synchronisation of the sound and tongue stimuli.

2The Tonguetip®

This is a proprietary intra-oral device, ergonomically designed to sit comfortably in the closed mouth. Tiny electrodes on the surface of the Tonguetip® deliver mild and safe energy pulses to the surface of the tip of the tongue.

3Bluetooth Headphones

Bluetooth headphones deliver customised paired sound stimuli to the auditory nerve.

How our Treatment Works

Neuromod’s Chief Scientific Officer, Professor
Hubert Lim explains how bimodal neuromodulation works to address tinnitus.

Professor Lim is a widely-published leader in the neural engineering field, and has been at the forefront of the development and translation of interfaces from scientific concept to clinical application. His work has a strong focus on the improvement of invasive and non-invasive approaches for treating unmet medical needs in hearing and other therapeutic areas. Professor Lim is also Associate Professor and Institute for Translational Neuroscience Scholar at the University of Minnesota in the United States.
